First Creative Period
Focused on experimental approaches, exploring contemporary techniques and expanded forms of musical expression (until 2010).
Second Creative Period
Marked by large-scale, often commemorative works that combine high artistic quality with wide social impact and strong public presence (2011–present).
The Concept of Polymediality
Elia’s concept that unites diverse media, senses and disciplines – from polyaesthetics and polystilic synthecity to polyfocal recording, polytope and polyscience – merging artistic creation with technology, space and intercultural dialogue.
Exploring sonic landscapes,
inspired by cultural memory,
woven into an innovative, holistic audiovisual work.
CURRENTLY UNDERWAY
Drawing inspiration from an ancient melody of the Kunqu opera «The Peony Pavilion», a form rooted in the Jiangnan region surrounding Shanghai,
the project reimagines this traditional art as a contemporary symphonic dialogue. The city itself transforms into both an instrument and a stage, with its diverse locations intricately woven into an immersive and cohesive audiovisual narrative. With over 250 participants and the support of 29 partners and institutions.

ODE TIL LYSET
October 31, 2025, at Næstved Harbour, Denmark.
«Ode to Light» was a production in which music, architecture, video installation, and lighting design were integrated into a unified artistic experience.
Commissioned by the «Næstved 2032 – European Cultural Capital» initiative, the city’s Light Festival and the «Cultural Bridge to Europe» programme, supported by the Region of Zealand, the work is a tribute to the city of Næstved — a sonic journey from introspective melancholy to serene affirmation.
Designed for performance during the darkest months of the year, the piece embodies a seasonal dimension where light represents presence, attention and shared strength. The form consists of 24 brief musical units from A to Z, symbolising the 24 hours of a day — a cycle from darkness into light, from dissolution into renewal.
More than one hundred musicians took part in the premiere: alto Julie Husballe from the Royal Danish Theatre, the Youth Choir of Schleswig-Holstein, the Holsted Church Choir, Kammerkoret Cantemus, and the Ensemble Storstrøm under the direction of Jørgen Graven Nielsen. Over two thousand spectators attended the opening night, and more than five-hundred viewed the presentation the following day.
The work will continue nightly till November 16, 2025, with two evening showings each night — the harbour’s silos transformed into a living artistic landscape, where sound and light converge.
